Andrew is currently the Records Manager with the firm of Foster Pepper
PLLC, and northwest firm based in Seattle, WA with offices in Spokane and
Portland, OR. His responsibilities include overall management of the
Records Department for Foster Pepper, with supervision over the Conflicts
Department and the Docketing Department. As part of his responsibilities,
Andrew manages all aspects of the Records Department which includes client
intake, conflict workflow, records requests, offsite maintenance,
retention implementation, destruction management, space planning,
strategic planning, research and development, electronic data management,
and system management. With a staff of approximately 14 people within
these departments, Andrew is responsible for implementing and enforcing
policy and ensuring a successful collaboration among the departments as it
corresponds with firm initiatives in accordance with generally accepted
Records Management practices, and firm guidelines.
Andrew began his records experience as a Records Manager for The National
Cooperative Bank, a cooperative lending institution in Washington DC,
where (as a member selected to participate in the corporate Re-Engineering
project) he created Records Management procedures and processes,
established recordkeeping rules, and developed taxonomy currently in use
today. After six years with the bank, Andrew moved to KPMG in Pittsburgh,
PA, after working with the Financial Services Group with Cushman and
Wakefield Washington DC, a global full service Real Estate company. From
KPMG, Andrew became the Records Supervisor with one of the largest law
firms based in Pittsburgh, PA, Kirkpatrick and Lockhart Nicholson Graham
LLP. There Andrew was tasked with classifying the data mapping and
spearheading the conversion of the Records Department Records Management
System, and in charge of the roll out of the web-based application for
users to communicate and interact with the Records Department. With
responsibilities and supervision over the Records staff, and after
creating a complete and detailed RMS user's guide used firmwide, Andrew
also managed system training to all users in all departments. After
several years with K&L, Andrew's next move was to the New York City
Economic Development Corporation located in Manhattan, as the Records
Project Manager. Here Andrew was intimately involved with the complete
Records conversion project where he directly managed the data mapping of
the Agency’s Records and records systems into a unified, formal,
recognized Records Management system. Moreover, he was the Project
Manager who worked directly with vendors and developers with regard to the
design, structure, implementation, and roll out of the Agency's Electronic
Management System and content management development. After NYCEDC,
Andrew was recruited to work as the Records Manager at Foster Pepper PLLC.
