At the beginning of April the draft version of the Russian national standard GOST R ISO 15489 "Information and Documentation. Records Management. Part 1: general" was released for public comment. This is the "identical" translation of the original standard prepared by the All-Russia Scientific and Research Institute for Records Management and Archival Science (VNIIDAD). 

Public comment period will last until August. Hopefully the standard will be adopted before the end of the year.
