Ah, but sometimes it might.  In the absence of business value and
legal/regulatory requirements to keep something, the statute of
limitation might be the best guide to determine appropriate retention.
Particularly in a highly unregulated business (such as a law firm).

I think RM reporting through Legal can make a lot of sense, I also think
RM reporting through IT can make a lot of sense.  Just depends.

My personal favorite is when an attorney starts an argument on one side
of an issue, and during the course of discussion, he argues himself to
the other side of the issue.  The intellectual equivalent of a dog
chasing his tail ... :)
