I work for Washington State, and our General Schedule says:
 
Attendance and Leave Records
A record of the attendance of state employees including annual leave,
sick leave, compensatory time, exchange time, overtime, personal
holidays, and other records pertaining to attendance. (series revised
2005)
 
Cut off - End of Fiscal Year
 
Retention period of official copy - 6 years
 
Not archival
