Stephanie,    We kept all records archived at the time of the spin off
with an agreement that we would make records available on a "as needed
basis." Since we archive by department number we would know which ones
belonged to them.  We took the approach that they were created as AMD
records.

Subject: [RM] Handling archived records when company has merged or spun
off

Does anyone have experience with the handling of archived records when a
company has spun off?   Did company identify and take all boxes of
records with them, enter into separation agreement to have access when
needed?
