This is an interesting approach, but it's a challenge to come up with
one-size-fits-all suggestions, given how people vary in their approach to
dealing with information. It might be worth scheduling some one-on-one
time with each executive (in addition to your presentation) to gain a
better understanding of his or her preferences and how those could
translate into records management activities. If this helps get the
executive on board, then it becomes easier for them to push the RM message
down the chain (which is as it should be).
That said, one suggested behavioural change would be to encourage
executives to commit to setting aside some time regularly to deal with
their records, much like some of them might already do to deal with their
IN trays. All you have to do is provide some concrete examples (based on
your business and RM environments) of what they could do in that time that
would benefit them. And remind them that although this type of activity
might *look* tactical, it has strategic value for the company.
