Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Associate University Archivist for Records Management, 
this position is responsible for providing a wide range of records 
management services to University offices for records in all formats. These 
services include: evaluation of office record-keeping practices, workflow 
analysis, needs assessments, feasibility and cost analyses, development of 
records schedules, and outreach planning and delivery. Provides expert 
guidance to support the appraisal, acquisition and preservation of 
University records in all formats. S/he works closely with the Senior 
Electronic Records Analyst/Archivist to assist in the management of 
electronic records in University offices and with the Archives' Collections 
Development staff to devise strategies and goals for the collection and 
appraisal of historically significant University records. As a team leader, 
the SRA provides oversight and guidance to other professionals, support 
staff, temporary employees, directly intervening in issues of complexity or 
delicacy requiring senior-level knowledge and experience. Additional 
responsibilities listed below.
Required Education, Experience, Skills
Bachelor's Degree with course work in history, business law, business 
administration, or related disciplines required. Master's degree in library 
science, information science, information management, history, business 
administration or archival studies required. CRM desirable. Four-five years 
professional experience in records management, preferably in a university 
setting. Experience in files management, functional analysis of records 
systems, and appraisal and scheduling of records is required. Experience 
appraising and scheduling electronic records, and experience implementing 
electronic document or records management systems are desirable. Knowledge 
of computer systems, automated records management, electronic archives, and 
control of electronic documents. Strong analytical and 
communication/presentation skills and active client-service orientation are 
essential.
