Good post!  I like the theory that overseas data entry is secure, since
those conducting data entry operations MAY not understand English (as used
in the U.S., at least), but I don't know that anyone could or should assume
that data entry overseas is ever more secure than it is in the U.S.  

How would a thoughtful and thorough customer be able to be certain that
their information was more secure?  

As for pattern matching, etc.  I've seen significant strides made in the
ability of software to "learn" how documents may be constructed and to
extract appropriate index data, but at this point....when we're dealing with
content that may not meet any specific standard, that appears to be more of
an "art" than a "science" today.
