I've been a librarian for 25+ years.  We are not all elitist, and
"marian" is not representative of the profession.  I emailed Peter
offlist to express my opinion, but now I feel compelled to defend the
profession.  Marian's behavior would be anathema on any library listserv
as well.

the parameters are.  Elitist librarians like you are a big reason why I
