Hi Linda --
PSS Systems offers an off-the-shelf legal holds software application. It manages the process of scoping holds, issuing notices and reminders, interviewing employees, and conducting collections for in-house legal people. It is used by companies such as Citigroup, TD Bank, First Data Corp, Halliburton and other large companies. The software is called Atlas LCC (litigation communications and collections) and it follows the Zubulake Checklist as the process model. It connects with typical systems that have knowledge of the "who, what, where" in holds. If you'd like more info, please contact me directly at [log in to unmask]

Subject: [RM] Hold Order Management Systems
Good morning folks,
I am doing research for a paper on hold order management systems and have
already been to the RecMgmt archive. Is anyone out there using an automated
(electronic) system and is it a custom application or a modification of a
commercial-off-the-shelf software package? Does it integrate with other
software used to manage records/documents in any medium? What
best-practices are you using to ensure that holds are properly applied and
maintained for the length of the litigation?
Keep in mind I am not an attorney, nor do I play one.
Thanks.
Linda B
