Sharon, bless your heart; I am a gearhead from wayyyy back. I prefer
Detroit iron, but I can appreciate good machinery from other countries.
Germany, Sweden, Italy, UK, and even some rice burners.
My fleet is comprised of a 1992 Chevy pickup; 2005 Jeep Liberty turbo
diesel; 2007 Pontiac G6 GT convertible, and a 1998 Chaparral SS
speedboat for summer-time wind 'n spray in the face.
In a separate RIM-related thread Jesse stated "I like things that are
shiny, flashy, spinny, and have lots of RAM and LEDs." Me too. I love
new RIM technology; I hate paper. With internal combustion toys...,,
ummm, I mean basic transportation conveyances..., I like things that are
shiny, flashy,
spinny, and have lots of torque and horsepower. As opposed to older
RIM and paper; I love older Detroit iron too. '64 Plymouth Sport Fury
w/335 HP & mucho torque (my high school car; wish I had it back); '68
Dodge Charger with 390 HP; '51 Merc sled with flathead V-8; '58 Chevy
Apache p/u with wrap around rear glass; '89 'Stang LX 5.0 H/O; '98
TransAm WS-6 (13.1 second ET & 111 mph in the quarter). What I really
wanted in high school was a Hemi 'Cuda, but did not have near enough
money.
Best regards, Steve

When I am not worrying about records and information management "stuff"
I
try to relax. One of the ways that I do that is driving my favorite
vehicle.
If you'd like to view my passion (and the main item that drains my
pockbook)
here's a link to a thread I started on a bulletin board:
