My understanding, which is based on the information found here:
http://blogs.msdn.com/ecm/archive/2007/05/30/microsoft-office-sharepoint-ser
ver-2007-is-dod-5015-2-certified.aspx

is that it can be done by Sharepoint configurators that are sufficiently
skilled at Sharepoint 2007. The piece developed by AIS makes that easier;
Microsoft will make that available sometime this summer. But it is doable
without it. If there are any Sharepoint gurus on the list perhaps they can
clarify further. I am not one yet but watch this space. :)

As I understand it...and Jesse, feel free to correct me, organizations
interested in using Sharepoint for ERM purposes can do so, with the full
assurance that it does meet all of the functionality requirements that
have been expressed on DoD 5015.2. However, that functionality requires
"add-on" components that have been developed by a Microsoft partner.
