Nicole:
I think the CDIA+ certification offered through CompTIA is an excellent
certification. I took the exam in November 2005 as a result of my company
looking at various imaging solutions for our HRIS department. I needed to
be up to speed on not only the technology but also the analysis of business
processes leading up to implementing such a solution. I wouldn't
necessarily obtain the certification just to have it. I prefer to go after
certifications that are relevant to what I am trying to accomplish where I
work. From my perspective, if I am going to be a champion for such
solutions, then I need to be able to talk the talk and walk it too.
Obtaining this certification has helped me do just that and it has also
helped me evaluate vendors that come in. Some know what they are talking
about and some don't. Please contact me offline if you would like to
