Hi,
Note:  I am talking about physical records, not tapes, although we have had
a similar situation.  Although it's been my experience that I (the
customer) become aware of the problem before either of the two vendors, I
expect to be copied.  My records might give insight on the situation.  (The
missing records could have been sent back to us for some reason.  The
records that look like they belong to another entity could belong to a
subsidiary using a different system and labelling.)  Probably not, but they
could.
