I only entered RM full time in 2001 but find my degrees studying biology
and then anatomy suited me very well to the taxonomy and general
mind-set of records - and I don't have to kill any specimens in my job!

Lura,

Chances are the majority of the members on the listserve (including
myself) do not possess a degree in records management. This applies to
the records management field in general. I've met RMs with a wide
variety of degrees, with what I consider the more traditional
(Business Administration, Library Sciences and History/Archives) to
the more interesting (Anthropology, French Literature and Home
Economics). Variety is the spice of life as they say.

Most of us have learned through on-the-job training as well as forums
like this.
