Hey John (and list)-
 
I think before bouncing around to a bunch of vendors, I would check with your information technology folks to see if they have a subscription to the Gartner Group or a like research organization. Take a look at the reports that analyze and rank e-discovery and email archiving products. I found the Gartner information valuable as I wrote my needs assessment and the ensuing project plan. 
 
This is a VERY hot segment of technology. IMHO there are many good products out there, but one or two will fit your environment and your needs best.
