I realize that this topic has been discussed before but I would like
some real world examples of any companies who have settled (by policy or
business decision) on using .tif vs .pdf ( or vice versa) for long term
storage of documents. Please do not make this a debate of microfiche,
etc...

I would like to know of those companies who have decided to store
electronic documents as .tifs vs any other format. This would include
.doc and .xls also. I would like to know how you came to the conclusion,
how it was received by your agency and how your agency is accommodating
for missing the functionality of links, formulas, embedded images,
etc...

Please reply off list.
