I love this paragraph:
"However, NARA officials testified that implementing the legislation could be too expensive. Maintaining electronic communications — including instant messages, e-mail, wikis and blogs — in electronic records management systems would likely cost billions, they said."
 
Government and private sector alike, we all wrestle with this issue. There is never enough funding nor are their enough human resources to oversee what needs to be done to capture e-records properly. Why pass legislation where compliance becomes a problem?
 
Oh well...almost Friday.
