And my parents told me they selected my name based on a good friend of the
family that had lost his life in the Korean Conflict... little did they know
that they helped form my destiny when naming me =)

A patron saint of libraries and librarians is Saint Lawrence the Librarian.
He is a third century saint and martyr (died AD 258) who had responsibility
for the written archives and records of the early church.
and to add a bit of TRUE irony:
Although St. Lawrence was most certainly beheaded and not roasted, the
traditions of his being cooked are somewhat stronger than actual fact. As a
result, St Lawrence is also considered a patron saint for cooks.
Known for my propensity of grilling and long and slow meat smoking, I find
this to be even more telling that my name was appropriately chosen =)
