My office is concerning using a hosted email archiving software.  For two main reasons, free up server space and to be able to perform extensive e-discovery searches.

Our IT department is leaning towards "ProofPoint".  I would like to hear from anyone who has implemented hosted e-mail archiving software?  What are some of the pitfalls we should be aware of? Is anyone using ProofPoint software? I would like to discuss pros and cons off list.
