Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Organization for
Security and Co-operation in Europe

The Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) is the
principal institution of the OSCE responsible for the human dimension. The
ODIHR's activities are implemented in 56 participating States in accordance
with the ODIHR's political mandate. Among the ODIHR's main fields of
activities are election observations as well as a large number of assistance
projects in the areas of democratic institution building, the rule of law
and human rights.

The OSCE/ODIHR office in Warsaw is recruiting:

DOCUMENTS AND RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT (Reference number VNODIG00160)

Tasks and responsibilities: The Documents and Records Management Assistant
will perform the following duties: acting as the primary focal point in the
ODIHR for records and document management; creating and maintaining ODIHR's
central electronic and paper filing system for the entire Office; proposing
and implementing office-wide standards and policies for the distribution and
storage of documents; providing guidance on archiving and records
management; training the staff on
archiving and registry, and usage of the OSCE documents management system;
administering the storage and archive of documents, including
sensitive and confidential material; handling the incoming and outgoing
correspondence of the Office; coordinating and supporting documents
compilation and distribution at the ODIHR conferences and their post-event
processing.

Requirements: Completed secondary education complemented by additional
training in records management or information classification and retrieval,
and/or certification from a recognized professional association in records
and information management is an advantage. Four years of
administrative/clerical experience, preferably in the field of
archiving/records or information management within an international
organization. Excellent knowledge of both spoken and written English;
working knowledge of other official OSCE languages, especially Russian is an
asset. Knowledge of relevant computer applications (document management,
relational databases, and spreadsheet applications) is essential. Strong
analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work
independently, under pressure and in confidence with an attention to detail,
accuracy and well-developed communication skills that enables tactful
dealing with people from a variety of national and
cultural backgrounds.

Remuneration Package: Monthly gross remuneration is approximately 5,986 PLN.
OSCE salaries are tax exempt. The staff member will participate in the
Vanbreda International medical insurance scheme and OSCE Pension Provident
Fund (OSCE contributes 15% of gross salary monthly).
