Steve,

Dating myself here a bit, but drove down the AlCan hwy with my parents
when we moved from Anchorage AK to Seattle in February 1958 - Made the
trip in a 1954 Willys jeep wagon (sure wish I had that now!). It was
truly a wild ride, still have the photos of the trip.
I suspect it is somewhat improved by now but a Jeep is still recommended
(might still need to take an extra spare tire as well).
