I differ with your second point.  I believe RM has always been content-driven.  The "need" you mention is your first point, is the "need" for the content of the record.  I don't think it can be considered a new factor based on electronic use for recordkeeping.  

While I applaud your efforts to embrace a new technological approach to education, based on what I could see of the preview I am not sure that what you are presenting is a new approach.  Granted, I was completely unable to view (or hear) anything in the preview except the title slide, so my judgment of the technology is somewhat limited.
