Eileen Mathias asked "Is anyone aware of a scanner that ... allows one to enter an email address to which a scanned document can be sent?"

Eileen, most of the current "departmental" multi-function printers (MFPs) have this capability (assuming the machine is connected to a network and has permission to send email messages). 

They are available from most vendors.

In a recent discussion on this listserv, the issue was producing COLOR images. Not all of the MFPs do, so it may be a selection factor.
