Good morning,

I just wanted to thank all who responded both on/off list to my questions, you've given me some great ideas.  I'm excited about working on this project, and I'm not too worried about our PR or any other department taking over (although at this time next year I may be begging for someone to take it over), we're a small company (<700 employees) and the PR group (2 people) sit right across the hall from me.  We're all pretty close and realize that it'll have to be a joint effort to be successful.  While we're headquartered in the Atlanta area, we're spread out over 13 states from TX to NY under three districts with about 20 staffed offices, so we'll be looking at developing some sort of traveling exhibit too.

I like the idea of getting proclamations from city and state officials, getting the retirees involved, and developing it around a theme.  It sounds like it's going to be a lot of work so I'm glad to be thinking about it early.  I have some time to formulate an outline and game plan to present to our Leadership Team later this fall, for approval and funding.
