Hello,

I too have an RM software question, but have specific criteria in addition
to the basic ones for an RM solution.

My client has both digital (about 90% in many file formats from Office to
.dwg) and about 10% print that will not be digitized in the near future.
This is a ten-year old private company that grew very rapidly in the last
year from 3-23 staff so their records are in chaos.

The client wants to host the software in-house and is running Windows 2008
server operating system and Exchange 2007. They are not using SharePoint
nor do they intend to do so.

I will be building a customized taxonomy for this project.

Some solutions I've begun looking at are:
-OCLC ContentDM
-PTFS ArchivalWare
-VTLS Inc.

and some integrated library system software that now has an archival
component such as NOTEbookS Library Automation Systems.

One other criteria the client desires is a preview pane before bringing up a
digital document. So far, I'm just seeing thumbnails in the solutions I've
begun to investigate.

Budget is $10,000 but can go up if needed.

Thank you so much.
Deb
