Peter has asked that I introduce myself to the List.

My introduction:

 I've been in the profession for 20+ years in records management in the
legal, military, federal and non-profit industries.  I've also done much
contract work over the years.  I am a military retiree and CRM
candidate.  I just assumed records responsibilities at a 33 year old,
small, utility company (Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia - MEAG)
in Atlanta, Georgia about a month ago.  Our records center is staffed
with 2 persons:  my supervisor and me.  We are currently hiring for one
additional PE.

The records department just completed a major conversion, where they
maintained all the files in boxes in open shelving.  The conversion
resulted in files out-of-box on shelves, with color-bar and some
bar-coding of select records.  

Hope this is sufficient.
