Officials at city hall issued a statement late Wednesday denying a
published report that the Mayor’s Office requested the destruction of
emails and phone records left behind by three top aides following their
exodus over the past week.

A source shared similar allegations with the *National Post*, but that
information was third-hand and could not be independently verified.
