Even though I have an MLS, I don't read books.

However, I am a gamer, and board games are very popular. I have created an RM board game and would love to collaborate with anyone/everyone.

Some features of the game include:

* Accumulating Documents:
Routine Document Creation Rate: Documents are added to a player's inventory every turn cycle depending on the type of organization they represent. This rate is constant, but can be permanently modified with education, experience, and other events.
One Time Events: A certain amount of documents can be added to a player's inventory through one-time events, such as mergers, migration into electronic systems, year-end closing, other events, etc.

* Vital Records: These documents must be preserved at all costs. A disaster could corrupt an organization's vital records, or the vital records could be destroyed in one event - GAME OVER. A Vital Records Disaster Recovery Plan may only be created by a Records Manager.

* Education permanently lessens the effect of some threats. However, student loans must be paid every month, and continuing education will be a constant expense.

* Types of Documents: Each player must maintain the appropriate mix/ratio of paper/electronic and active/inactive records, depending on the type of organization (Institute of Higher Education, Hospital, Local Government, Non-Profit, Small Business, Large Corporation, etc.)

* Security:
At the beginning of each turn, the player will draw a card to determine what kind(s) of security threats affect their documents. Documents may be corrupted, lost, or confidential information is accidentally released to the public. The negative effects may be lessened through: education, experience, anti-virus software, etc.

I am still struggling with the non-competitive nature of our profession, and incorporating this paradigm into gameplay.
