I will tell you what my stance is and that is I believe there is no legal
requirement to maintain employee profile history longer than 6 years, but you
must maintain the employee personnel file x years after termination.
So for database records, the records that make up the personnel file AT
termination is what needs to be held x years after termination. For example
an employee is employed for 10 years - at termination, the data for only the
previous 6 years is on file, the other data has been deleted according to the 6
year requirement.
Hope I haven't lost anyone due to inadequate description.
