> Is cursive handwriting slowly dying out in America? |

Slowly? Like hell. My granddaughter is 23 and was raised mostly in the California school system - she can sign her name in cursive, but prefers to print. Otherwise, she really can't write cursive at all. In computerized America, it isn't necessary. Work documents are e-signed. The only time I write in cursive is to sign checks. Making out checks is mostly the only time I write, period. I tale notes on my laptop or my tablet. Even my grocery list is on my iphone. Who needs pens and pencils?
