Assessment Records Destroyed in Ovid Fire - Ithaca Times : News
Attempts to repair and rebuild lost assessment records are underway for the
towns of Covert, Ovid, Lodi, Romulus and Varick, after the fire on Main
Street in Ovid on March 18 destroyed the assessor’s office building. These
records were sent into a forensic records retrieval company to be repaired,
according to Town of Romulus Supervisor David Kaiser.
