Empower NARA to fix record keeping | Federal Times | federaltimes.com
The federal government must have more consistency and better management of
its information and records management practices enterprise-wide. American
citizens expect their government to operate in a transparent way and to
ensure their records are protected and managed responsibly. The dedicated
federal professionals who manage records along with those who drive this
policy face an uphill battle because information governance is not a
priority of the U.S. government. By information governance, I mean having a
standard of conduct for governing information and metrics by which to judge
that conduct. Federal employees and American citizens deserve better.
