In response to Larry, I agree with you.
I have no problem with someone having 1TB or more if the following take place
1-they are only using the space to store records that have been indexed(correct properties, naming, retention...)
2-there is a way to electronically destroy once they have met retention
3-any policies dictating the use of the space are enforced.
Don't be afraid of the space, but be worried about how it is managed.
