For me, it's "Evening in the Palace of Reason," when "Bach meets Frederick
the Great in the Age of Enlightenment." I'm about 2/3 through. The book
alternates chapters between the two men, beginning long before either was
born, explaining their history, genealogy, and the
political/religious/musical worlds they grew up in, and their beliefs and
philosophies (especially compared to each other). I'm learning so much
about two men I never paid much attention to before, and the worlds they
lived in.
In the dugout is "The Most Important Thing," by Howard Marks, one of the
founders of the company I now work for. I will probably start it before I
finish the other; I've been impressed with what I've heard from him so far.
