I think most good Webmasters check to make sure that their external Internet sites do not include drill down links to Intranet rather than Internet posted materials. Internet websites are the public face of an entity. They should not have drill down links to materials on internal servers. There are plenty of links on the Internet Archive that do not work but I think it is for other reasons, some of which are described in the FAQ that I just linked to. Personally, I do not think the Interent Archive was set up to be a universal, comprehensive Internet archives. It cannot be, since people can block it from reaching material on their external sites.
