I think it would be useful to differentiate between mail being sent from
person to person within an organization, versus from one organization to
another.  For messages sent within the organization, the auto-erase
feature might be of benefit to the organization's records management
program.  But personally, for messages I receive from another
organization, I wouldn't want the author to determine my records'
disposition.

I have one followup question I would like to pose to the list.  What if
I
change my method of sending email.  Suppose instead of sending you a
message I send you a link to content on my data base and enforce the
same
business rules regarding copying, distribution and printing that were
referenced in the article.  Under these rules would I not be legally
justified to control my own content.
