Meeting Topic - E-Discovery: What are the consequences?

The time and money devoted to conducting electronic discovery has grown
at a staggering pace. Records managers are facing a litany of related
legal and technological challenges. In this presentation, the speakers
will discuss the varied approaches taken by practitioners and vendors to
address the complex issues that arise in electronic discovery, and
developing and implementing related records retention policies. There
is no single best way to conduct electronic discovery. Various
generalizations and approaches will be explored, as well as the impact
electronic discovery is having on other areas relevant to records
management, such as corporate acquisitions and due diligence. This
presentation will cover related technological issues, such as the
management and retention of structured and unstructured data.
