virtually all of the major search engines or portals have a news search feature. try them all and use the one that produces the results that meet your needs. Each person will have different requirements.

Now as to compiling that still requires human intervention. A human (me in this case) reviews the search results to determine what stories will most interest a wide eclectic readership. Although I try to remain neutral in my selection I am biased towards certain types of stories.

oh gee Don! come on! how about these terms records management manager archivist archives archivist documents destructions document documents archival protection shred shredder shredding FOIA open government deed library national research email e-mail litigation subpoena metadata security fire disaster flood damage classification classified file files archive museum public voting election standards as well as a variety of company names. now those are just some of the keywords that I can remember off the top of my head. How YOU use them is up to you. They can be used by themselves or in combination, doesn't matter.
