Dear Colleagues,

Another interesting RIM subject on this list!

Can I refer all to the recent November/December 2004 edition of the ARMA
publication, The Information Management Journal and an article titled; Web
Sites as Recordkeeping & Recordmaking Systems by Rick Barry.

The article may, or could answer a number of issues raised in this tread. I
recommend the article to you as it hits home at the issues as Rick usually
does.

I would also add two web resources to those already identified by Peter
Kurilecz and they are the following:

These are three webpages which may be of interest and hopefully also of
value to persons addressing web resource capture issues.

The introductory statement of the first webpage; "The Guidelines for the
Management of Web Information as per the State Records Act, 2000 have been
developed to assist government agencies address some of the practical issues
associated with managing web based information that have arisen as a result
of the State Records Act 2000." indicates its interaction and recoronation
of the State Records Act 2000.

Premier's Circular (2002/14) Web Site Standards @

You will note that we even have the premier of the state trumpeting the
cause for good Website management procedures.
