1. Enhance overall e-mail awareness and e-mail risk reduction
2. Provide e-mail users with an understanding of e-mail risks
(organizational and individual), rights, responsibilities, regulations
and rules.
3. Focus on content. How (and why) to create content that is
clean, clear and compliant. How (and why) to steer clear of content
that violates industry and government regulations, jeopardizes client
and firm confidentiality, triggers regulatory fines, threatens
litigation, and creates other e-mail disasters.
4. Review confidentiality, contractual obligations, and the risks
inherent in careless and/or off-the-cuff e-mail messages.
5. Address electronic business records, retention, deletion, and
archiving.
6. Enhance productivity through effective e-mail management.
7. Provide attendees with an understanding of the risks inherent in
Instant Messaging. Review the rules of strategic IM management
including retention, deletion, and archiving issues
8. Stress the important role employee education plays in e-mail and
IM risk management.
