English-language documents reflecting Russian, Ukrainian or Byelorussian
point of view on archives and records management are rare. That’s why the
translation of one of the recent issues of the Ukrainian journal “Archives
of Ukraine” may be of interest.

Main topic of the “Ukrainian” part of the issue is archival legislation in
Ukraine and other former Soviet republics. The articles contain some
interesting information despite being heavily loaded with political
rhetoric. There are also 18 pages of extracts from current Ukrainian
legislation on archives and related issues.

“International” part contains a number of articles on international archival
legal issues (including displaced archives), and authenticity of electronic
records.
