 Folks -

Quick search - Jean-Pierre Carrière shows up as a consultant in 2002 at the Records Management Institute (President of "Gestion de documents Carrière Inc" - translation - Carriere Records Management Inc). The RMI, as some readers will know from John Gervais' past postings, was originally founded to promote and exchange information on records management in the Canadian federal government. It may be that Monsieur Carriere is screening applications for a client, following the process outlined by Peter. You can find out more about his company at: http://www.gdc-crm.com/

Uncommon in terms of email addresses, yes, but given Ginny's comments, there is no doubt that this is a real person with a real company. The other points that should be remembered are (a) the posting is on an ARMA website and (b) the notification of the posting came from an active and well known participant on this list.

Cheers!

Mark
