Responsibilities include:
- Develop and assist in the creation and implementation of records retention schedules;
- Develop and present records management workshops and similar instructional sessions;
- Advise and assist departmental personnel in identifying and analyzing records system problems, identify potential applications of electronic or micrographic technologies, propose solutions to meet program and system requirements;
- Design filing systems to meet specialized UW office filing requirements, schedule and coordinate the implementation of plans for both standard and specialized systems;
- Coordinate day-to-day operations of the University Records Center;
- Assist in the design and development of a University-wide Vital Records Program;
- Provide general administrative support for office operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Two years of records analysis experience.
Additional qualifying experience may be substituted, year-for-year, for required education.
Additional Requirements:
- Must work well with management, co-workers and customers;
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills essential.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
Desired:
- Formal education and training in records management by a degree granting institution;
- Experience writing retention schedules.
Condition of Employment:
- Ability to lift/move boxes weighing up to 40lbs;
- Valid driver's license.
