The Sedona Conference has released the Sedona Guidelines: Best Practices
Guidelines and Commentary for Managing Information and Records in the
Electronic Age, for public comment. This is a companion piece to its
well-known publication The Sedona Principles: Best Practices
Recommendations and Principles for Addressing Electronic Document
Production.
As a supporting sponsor of the Sedona Conference Working Group: WG1:
Electronic Document Retention and Production, ARMA intends to submit
formal comments to The Sedona Conference during this public review
stage. ARMA is soliciting input from RIM professionals who are
interested in this issue. A copy of the draft guideline as well as an
online comment tool are available at:

Your comments must be submitted to ARMA International by February 25,
2005, to be included in the ARMA comment document.
The Sedona Conference is a non-profit "charitable research and
educational institute, dedicated to the advanced study of law and policy
in the areas of antitrust, intellectual property, and complex
litigation." Judges, lawyers, consultants and others have participated
in the conferences and working groups of The Sedona Conference. Output
from The Sedona Conference has been cited in cases, reports, articles,
bibliographies, and commentary, both domestic and international.
