Canada Revenue Agency has a Code of Ethics and in this employee handbook
under the title Appearance it states:
a) Appearance
General Policy
Your appearance and dress should be appropriate for your duties. It must not
be detrimental to health and safety, your work performance and that of
others, or the image of the CCRA. You are expected to be neat, clean and
well-groomed. When you meet the public at your workplace or at a client's,
your appearance should reflect the CCRA's business image. It should, at a
minimum, be in keeping with appropriate business attire in your local
community, and reflect your professional image as a representative of the
CCRA.
Uniformed Employees
As a uniformed employee, you have a special responsibility to maintain a
proper appearance. Your uniform immediately signals to the public that you
officially represent the CCRA and the federal government. Your appearance
enhances the public image of the CCRA and of Canada. You are expected to
wear your complete uniform, without any non-regulation ornaments. You are
responsible for keeping your uniform clean, neat and well pressed (see the
CCRA's Uniform Clothing Employee Handbook).
I hope this is of some assistance to you. Have a great day.
