Good thought.  When I started at the New Mexico Records & Archives in
1976, all the records managers were classified as management analysts.
It took almost two years to get a classification established for a
career series for records managers.  They established a hierarchy from
records or warehouse clerk (the old file clerk or storeroom clerk
classifications) up to records analyst supervisor (the old management
analyst classifications).
