Our Boston City Council, City Clerk and Assistant City
Clerks call into question sunshine public meetings
principles, FOI freedom of information public records
principles, open government principles.
The http://cityofboston.gov/citycouncil minutes are edited
to a point of brevity that ordinary citizens could not make
sense of the transactions of our Boston City Council.
The City Clerks office puts people off who enquire about the
content of the council minutes, as do City Council offices,
as do City Councilors offices.
No index of docket numbers is made available.
Papers are referred to as papers in the minutes without
descriptive details to make clear what the papers are.
There is an insensitivity that they know what they are doing
and the people do not need clarification. Stock formulated
answers are given people instead of more thoughtfully
interacting with enquirers about the council proceedings and
council transactions.
