Subject: All good things must come to an end

and what better day to do it then today.

Well with deep sadness I must report that beginning today RAIN will be
undergoing a change. I first started RAIN as Records/Archives In the
News back in Sept of 1996. Over the years RAIN has been presented in a
variety of ways and formats to make it easier on you my loyal readers.
I tried once to see ennumerate how many stories I've posted since 1996,
but I lost track when I had to starting counting over on my fingers and
toes.

It's been a pleasure serving you all these many years and I assure you
that the new RAINman will serve you extremely well.
After much deliberation and deep thought I am transferring the
responsibility for RAIN to that internet everyman, that denizen of the
web, a person who really needs no introduction, but who is known by all.
Therefore without further ado let me announce that Don Saklad has agreed
to become the new RAINman.

Don's high interest over the past few years in how RAIN is collected
and distributed indicated to me that he is the perfect candidate to
serve as my replacement. I have transferred to him all my search
knowledge and tricks. I'm sure that you all will open your arms and
provide a hearty welcome to Don as your new RAINman.

Thank you for your support over these oh so many years!
