I think the lifespan of a rubber band is relative. Recently Rio, my Irish
Terrier, got into and ate part of a bag of mixed size rubber bands. She said
they tasted like chicken. Thankfully they all "passed." Although I didn't
hose them off to examine them REALLY close up, it would appear that a rubber
band survives intact on a trip through an average IT.
